Sister Nonprofit AVER

AVER Valle Escondido's sister nonprofit works to raise awareness and inspire action for regenerative practices, sustainable design, and land stewardship locally in Monteverde, at the national level in Costa Rica, and around the world. Here are some of AVER's projects.

Virtual Library Project

We are excited about the launching of our new virtual library project in November of 2024.  This project is aimed to expand AVER's impact to the world wide web, sharing different eco-techniques, permaculture design and regenerative practices.

Internships

AVER continues to work with international interns offering an onsite educational experience to support future career development for college students.

School Green House Donation Program

in 2024 our school greenhouse donation program expanded to include 2 new schools.  These mini greenhouses offer children the chance to get engaged in cultivating organic gardens at a young age.

Accessible Classes in Regenerative Agriculture

In 2024 AVER provided scholarships to increase access for 104 people, offering classes from beek keeping to organic fertilizer production to botany illustration.

Courses in Permaculture Design

Annual AVER offers courses in permaculture design, these two-week courses including food and lodging are the most accessible in the world at $400 including childcare and additional scholarships.

Land Stewardship

AVER's land stewardship workshops focus on regenerative land management looking at water management, soil regeneration, and reforestation.
